(NEW YORK) — A source confirms to ABC Radio that Alec Baldwin has indeed been elected to the highest office in the comedy landscape: he’ll be portraying the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, on Saturday night’s installment of SNL.
Baldwin and his spot-on impression of the real estate mogul-turned politician were noticeably absent from last Saturday’s installment, the first after Trump’s surprise victory over Hillary Clinton.
The episode did open with a somber Kate McKinnon, in the guise of a defeated-but-still-determined Clinton, playing piano and singing the late Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
Saturday night’s episode will be hosted by former SNL castmember Kristen Wiig and feature musical guest The xx.
